And We're Back!

After a weekend of "evacuation," I'm now back in Hoboken safe, sound, and extremely refreshed. Thanks to Hurricane Irene, I just had one of the best weekends I've had in months.

In the end, it seems that the impact in my area of Hoboken was not so bad that evacuating was necessary. However, it was the smart move, as there was a strong chance that we could have been flooded in for a few days, and lost power for even longer. As it was, three days in Basking Ridge was an excellent escape from the daily grind (such as it is for me). I can give you a very quick recap, because the past three days consisted largely of three things: eating, sleeping, and playing Monopoly.

I can't remember the last time I actually finished a game of Monopoly prior to this past weekend. With Matt and Courtney, I probably finished around 5 games. Who knew it could be such an entertaining way to pass the time? The Joachim's have a lovely home, and their dog Teddy kept us company as we vied to become real estate mavens late into the night. All in all, an excellent weekend.

Now that we're back, I'm homeless once more. Courtney's roommate Laura has taken her rightful place, and in a few minutes I'll begin the process of lugging my things over to Matt's place. The good news is that this time, it should promise to be short-lived. I'll either get a job and find my own apartment, or I won't and will go home to Pittsburgh.

Speaking of which, on the job front, I was contacted yesterday to check my availability to be a Production Assistant for Godspell! Here's hoping that I get an interview this week!

Ok, folks, talk to you later! KCACO
