I'm sorry to say that this post will be brief, because I'm exhausted! Tomorrow, when I have more time, I will elaborate more on the beginning of my internship.
However, the Reader's Digest version is as follows: Asked to report at 1:00 pm today (isn't that great?!), I made my roughly 1 hour commute into the city. I was immediately welcomed by the very friendly staff of Atlantic, briefly shown around the office, and then put to work immediately catching up on the usher email account. I even found an usher for tonight's show after a last-minute cancellation, after calling 35 people on the wait list. I was very pleased with myself.
There was some trekking back and forth between the office and the theater, and some deliveries to be made. After work I got a comp to see the Atlantic Stage 2 production, Dusk Rings a Bell, by Stephen Belber. It was incredible! I loved every minute of it. The cast of 2 was so compelling that I forgot that I was watching actors (one of the actors was Kate Walsh from Private Practice/Grey's Anatomy).
After the show, I made it back to Brooklyn in less than an hour, and had a brief chat with Shannon before writing this. I miss her more than I can ever express here.
Thus ends my short tale! More tomorrow, I promise!
