Hello dear friends!
Long time, no blog. I have some exciting news to impart, and I want you, the readers of this gripping blog, to be, well, not the first, but among the first to know!
As my previous post (dated end of June) mentioned, I was given the opportunity to raise some money for the Broadway premiere of the play GRACE by Craig Wright, directed by Dexter Bullard, starring Paul Rudd and Michael Shannon, with Ed Asner and Kate Arrington.

I launched myself into that effort, and I'm quite pleased and more than a little proud to say that, as of about a week ago, I successfully reached my fundraising target and became a Co-Producer for the production! I'll be sharing an above-the-title credit (meaning my name will be slashed with another name) and I'll get a 50-word bio in the Playbill. But more importantly, I proved to myself that I am able to raise money for Broadway shows in Pittsburgh, and that I have the chops to get into the producing world. Was it a struggle? Yes, very much so, and I was incredibly lucky and blessed to have succeeded. Will it continue to be super difficult? Absolutely, I have no illusions about that. But fortunately for me, I get to do the fun stuff now, meaning attend rehearsals, previews, openings, and meet all of the great people work on the production. My investors will get to do most of that as well, and with any luck by January they'll also be quite pleased with the return on their investment.
My takeaway for all of this is the incredibly trite "follow your dreams", because even though it's overused it seems to be true. If I hadn't had the guts to say yes, and give it a shot, I would not have had the chance. And if I didn't have the support of my friends and family (that's you), I never would have stood a chance.
So thanks, folks! I owe my Broadway producing debut to you! Now onward and upward!
Keep calm and carry on.
