So my friends, in an alarming fashion the year 2013 has come to a close. I'm not going to do quite the summation of my year that I did last year, if for no other reason than I want to get this published before we close the books on 2013 and I have less than an hour (and I'm doing this while I watch The West Wing). However, this has been a really good, really interesting year; a year that I'm supremely grateful for.
Professionally, I had a lot of growth in 2013. Yes, it's true that I didn't have a credit as a producer on anything (unless you count being credited as co-producer on Riverview Jr./Sr. High School's production of Annie, which I really don't for reasons I don't want to get into right now), but I did have a lot of success affiliating with two big productions. The first of Ken Davenport's production of Alan Cumming starring in a one-man version of Macbeth, which was glorious. The second, and going on now, is the repertory production of No Man's Land and Waiting for Godot, Two Plays in Rep starring Sir Ian McKellen and Sir Patrick Stewart, produced by Stuart Thompson. It's going really really well, and has been a privilege to be a part of. There's also a really cool film/TV project that's in the works, but that will be the subject of another blog post next year.
Personally, I'm not sure that I could say I had a lot of growth, per se, but I will grant that I am inching ever closer to figuring out my life, how I want to live it, and the type of friends I want along for the ride, and the kind of woman I want to share it with. Figuring it out is one thing, and actually doing it is something else entirely, but Rome wasn't built in a day.
Anyhow, friends, I will leave it here saying only this: I wish you peace, prosperity, health, and happiness in 2014, and I thank you for all that you have done for me over this past year.
Cheers!
